Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
A war documentary that tries to explore both sides of the story, Only The Dead hits home with some pretty gruesome imagery and a blurred morality that puts you uncomfortably both in front and behind enemy lines. How much you’ll connect the film will depend a lot on how you feel for it’s Australian “lead” whose front and centre throughout, but it’s ultimate anti-war sentiment and shocking images will stay with you long after you leave.
