Blog: Tomorrowland – A Quick Capsule Review

Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Okay so like John Carter and Jupiter Ascending before it, the critics would have you believe that Tomorrowland is a total dud.  It’s not.  Much like the other two films mentioned it’s more like a near miss: a film that falls just short of being a good movie.  There’s a lot to like here – from the amazing production design and future words to Clooney’s spirited grumpy performance.  What lets it down, ultimately, is that it’s story doesn’t hold it’s run time and at times the film just feels too slow, too baggy.  BUT I’d highly recommend giving this one a chance.  Overall I quite liked it.
