Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Any other year NightCrawler would easily have been my film of the year.   From a stunning central performance by Jake Gyllenhaal (and Russo for that matter) to some of the most stunning cinematography this year, Nightcrawler not only delivers on it’s promise but goes well beyond.  In the 70’s we had taxi Driver, in the 90’s Bad Lieutenant and now we have Nightcrawler. A must see.
