Phil’s Quick Capsule Review:
Look I love Wally Pfister’s work. He’s one of the best DOP’s working in Hollywood today.  He’s made the Nolan films he’s worked on look amazing. But man based on this steaming turd I hope he goes back to doing what he does well, because based on the evidence here directing sure isn’t it.  A poor script (that makes this more TranscenDUNCE), a near prosaic performance from Johnny Depp (who is hitting Keanu levees of lazy acting of late) and the constant push to make the world believe that Rebecca Hall can act (note: She can’t) just add the the general frustration that watching this film brings.  Worst of it… it doe net even have the decency to be terrible.  Just boring.  And that’s a whole lost worse…

Best Bit: Visually it’s okay
